Escape the Rat Race

a real business, launched and running in 90 days.

the brand and the website are what we start with, but not the only thing you are buying.

All you need is a good idea, discipline and 11k.

the problem

HERE'S THE THING NOBODY TELLS YOU.

Having a good idea is the easy part. Most people have at least one. The hard part is the bit that comes after, the moment you decide to actually do something about it.

Where do you start? Who do you call? What do you build first? That gap between the idea in your head and the thing that exists in the world. That's where most ideas die. Not because they weren't good enough. But because there was nobody there to help bring them to life.

That's the bit we fix.

AN IDEA ISN'T REAL UNTIL IT EXISTS OUTSIDE YOUR HEAD.

THINGS THAT DIDN'T EXIST

DEEPER CURRENT

From basketball referee to White Dragon Lineage practitioner, Lachy's path to spiritual healing was anything but conventional. We built the Deeper Current brand and a website for booking clients. Now he's working one on one with clients in Melbourne, helping them heal beneath the surface.

ARTHUR’s MILKbar

From a conversation after a photoshoot to a café you can walk into. Marcus Bontempelli mentioned an idea for an American diner named after a local icon. That's all it was. A conversation. Now it's a real place in Melbourne with a queue.

How it works

the escape

4 steps & 90 days after

  • A man is giving a presentation to a group of people in a retail store, with a large display screen showing team activity and shelves filled with shoes and apparel in the background.

    01. The Extraction

Half a day, just us, in person. We get the idea out of your head and onto paper. What it actually is, who it’s for, what it’s called, why it exists. Some people walk in holding it. Some find it in the room. You walk out with your Brief, and for the first time the idea exists somewhere other than your head.

  • A laptop screen displaying a presentation slide with various logo designs for 'Arthur's Milkbar' in black and white, with a video call window showing a man with a beard and light-colored shirt named Marcus Bontempelli.

    02. The identity

Your idea gets a face. Two or three directions, each a different answer to your Brief. Then we refine until it feels right. Logo, colour, type, guidelines — entirely yours.

  • Close-up of a smartphone resting on a dark brown upholstered surface, displaying a website for Arthur's Milkbar with a message about serving the hood just like yesterday.

    03. The address

Your idea gets a home. A website designed and built by the same person who built your brand, so it actually holds together.

  • A man dressed in a suit and colorful socks, seemingly dancing or jumping against a plain gray background.

    04. The Launch

A real launch day with a real date. The day the private thing stops being private. I'll be standing right next to you when you cross it. We plan it together and I bring the network: photographer, printer, whoever it needs. The planning and the people are included. The costs of the day itself, the venue, the food, the print run, are yours, and we budget them together up front.

  • Three men are in a café with an exposed brick wall, taking photos or videos. One man in a black hoodie is holding a phone, another man in a white shirt with an orange beanie is holding a camera, and the third man in a black t-shirt is holding a professional video camera.

    The After

90 days after you launch. Fortnightly calls. Not design or creative, straight business. Because launch is the start line and everyone treats it like the finish.

The fear was never that it would look bad. It’s that it goes live, and then you’re on your own. That’s what this part is for.

what’s included

EVERYTHING YOU NEED.

the way in

it starts with a half day

Nobody should hand over $11,000 for something they’ve only read about on a website. The Extraction is half a day in a room together for $1,100.

You walk out with your Brief either way, and if you decide to go ahead it comes off the total.

$1,100

THE EXTRACTION

  1. 30 minute call — We get to know each other and understand where you're at. No pressure, just a conversation.

  2. 3 hour workshop — In person, just us. We dig into your idea, your story, and what you actually want to build. This is where the magic happens.

  3. 30 minute follow-up — We review what came out of the workshop, confirm your Brief, and map out exactly what comes next.

The $1,100 comes off your total if you go ahead with the Good Idea.

How it works

THIS ISN'T FOR EVERYONE.

You're ready if

You've got one idea you're genuinely committed to

You've got the money, and losing it wouldn't destroy you

You've finished something hard before

You want someone in your corner the whole way

Maybe not yet if

This is your last $11k

You've got five ideas and can't commit to one

You're looking for just a logo or a website

You need to be talked into it

And if you need convincing, it's not time yet. That's not a no. It's a not now, and there's a difference.
